Benjamin James Crawford (BJ) – age 42 received his healing we all have prayed for as he went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a deacon. He married his high school sweetheart Mindy on August 16, 2003, and they have four amazing children, Gage (Allie), Cloey, Lilly and Noah. God blessed them all to call BJ husband and Daddy.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Stella Neubert and Ben and Orena Crawford; father-in-law, Donny Walker; and nephew, Brody Allen.
Others left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jack and Phyllis Crawford; siblings, Greg (Kelley) Crawford, and Stephanie (Chris) Cannon; in-laws by law, but blood by heart, Gayla Walker, Emily (Wesley) Pursiful, Justin (Tiffany) Walker, and Wendy Walker Allen. He was the best “Uncle B” to Jonathan (Ashley), Bethany, Bryson (Blakely), Gracie, Carter, Emma, Hannah, Nevaeh, Blake, Elijah, Braxton, Layla, Brinlee, and Annie Kate.
The family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 PM Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 6:00 PM with Rev. Tim Inklebarger officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 PM on Sunday at Roseberry Cemetery for a 2:00 PM interment officiated by Rev. Keith Buckner. Pallbearers will be sons and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any Knoxville TVA Employee Credit Union under the name of Mindy Crawford.
