It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Ruby Gladys Lilly, mourn her passing on June 30th, 2024 at the age of 80 years.
Predeceased by her parents, James & Annie Short; sister, Annie Pierce; brother, Hubert Short; and daughter, Baby Girl Lilly.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 61 years, Norman; sons, Hubert (Gustine) and Derek; daughters, Eileen (Rick) and Viola (Fred); sister, Ethel; sister-in-law, Gladys. Ruby will be lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and a large circle of family and friends.
Ruby married the love of her life on April 17th, 1963. She devoted her time to raising her four children and grandchildren. Ruby was a shining star, illuminating the world with her kindness, empathy and generosity. Her love was boundless. She cherished every moment with her family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her passion for darts and card games were only surpassed by her passion for life itself.
Though her time with us was far too short, Ruby’s impact will be felt for generations to come. Her love, kindness and strength will continue to inspire us all.
