Obituary for
Barry Reid Fiander
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Reid Fiander of Belleoram, NL. who passed away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, at the age of 51 years.
Barry leaves to mourn his loving family: mother, Pearl Fiander; sister, Mandy Fiander; brothers, David Fiander (Jessie Fiander) and Harris Fiander; his 3 nieces; his nephew; his 2 great nieces; his great nephew; as well as a circle of friends and family.
Barry was predeceased by his father, Stanley Fiander
Barry was born in Harbour Breton, NL. He was raised and lived in Belleoram. His compassion and love for his hometown made him want to participate in all the activities around town such as the Iron Skull Festival and all the community events that were held. For many years until he got sick he was the president of the Belleoram Recreation Committee where he was known as the Tuesday Night Bingo caller. Everyone in Belleoram thought so much of him as he always had a big smile on his face and would always stop to have a chat with the people. He was there to help anyone who needed a helping hand. Back in 2020 when he took sick he had such a positive attitude and kept the faith. He kept up a good fight until the fight took over. During the 4 years he could depend on his buddy, Donny Poole, to bring him where he needed to go no matter what time of day it was. This involved going back and forth to Grand Falls where he would spend time with his sister, Mandy and nephew, Jacob, who thought so much about him. Jacob looked up to his Uncle Barry as they would do things together.
There will be no Funeral Service.
