Wayne’s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Wayne Halfyard announce his passing on Sunday, January 7th,2024 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 68 years. He leaves to mourn with many memories his wife Roxanne and daughters; Lachelle (Johnny Fry) and Alicia. Siblings; Alvin (Maxine) Reid, Clarence (Renate) Reid, Margaret (Tony) Raike, Eileen Whalen, Joy (Tony) Crocker, Bernice (Wade) Goodyear, Angela (Clyde) Simms, James (Angela) Halfyard, Glen Halfyard, Goldie (David) Langford. Brother-in-law Douglas Tulk and sister-in-law Marjorie Tulk. Also leaving to mourn are many nieces and nephews that he adored as well as a large circle of family and friends.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents James and Shirley Halfyard. Biological parents Myrtle Rogers and Andrew Reid. Brothers; Lloyd Reid and Cle (Sam) Reid, sister Gladys Halfyard and brother-in-law Bill Whalen.
Wayne was a good natured man who loved a good joke and a fishing trip. Wherever he went he made a friend. He loved the outdoors and fishing. Wayne was very sports oriented and played a variety of sports. He loved his Montreal Canadians and loved to cooked. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him, he’s now fishing in Heaven.
In keeping with Wayne’s wishes cremation will take place.
A celebration of life will be held at Parsons Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16th,2024 at 2 pm for friends and family.
