Floyd’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that our family announces that our beloved father, grandfather and husband Floyd Franklin Emmanuel Payne passed suddenly into the presence of the Lord on Monday, January 8th,2024 at the age of 65 years Floyd was born in Three Mile Rock on March 31st,1958. He married his beloved wife, Irene Flossie Mitchell in 1979 and raised two sons in Three Mile Rock.
Floyd will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Irene, sons; Eric (Jessica) and Jordan (Megan). His four grandchildren; Amber, Heidi, Gage and Caleb and his two fur grandpups; Willow and Pixie. Floyd leaves to mourn his brothers; Harley (Nancy) and Edward/Junior (Dorn). Floyd also leaves to mourn his mother-in-law Bertha. His brother’s and sister’s-in-law; Violet (Dave), Sylvie (Darrin), Edmond (Deanna), Lucy (Eric), Willie (Shelia), Sharon (Drew) and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends around the globe.
Floyd was predeceased by his loving parents Simeon and Violet Payne, his father-in-law George Mitchell.
Floyd was an avid outdoors person who dearly loved photography, fishing, gardening and berry picking. Floyd will be remembered for his strong faith, commitment to his family and involvement in the church community.
Visitation will take place at the Gospel Hall in Parsons Pond on Wednesday, January 10th,2024 from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Where also the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 11th,2024 at 2 pm with Mr. David Swan officiating. Interment will follow at the family plot at the Gospel Hall Cemetery.
