Bride’s Obituary
In Loving Memory of Bride Hutchings
Bride Hutchings was born on April 26, 1937, to Elva and Steadman Hutchings of Cow Head. She married her beloved husband, Stanley Hutchings, in 1957, and together, they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. Bride was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, dedicating her life to her family.
Bride’s maternal love extended to raising six beautiful children and nurturing several grandchildren. She doted on each of her grandchildren and provided her extensive family with an abundance of love and protection.
On October 20th, Bride peacefully passed away at Bonne Bay Health Center, surrounded by many of her loved ones. She was reunited in heaven with her beloved Stanley, the love of her life, her two sons Enos and Roger, her youngest daughter Melva, her grandson Jeffrey Hutchings, her parents Elva (nee Verge) and Steadman Hutchings, her brothers Oscar Hutchings and Felix Hutchings, her sisters Linda Payne and Beverly Hutchings, and her nephew Dion Hutchings.
Bride leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her daughters, Sharon (Ewen), Glennis (Kirby), her only son Oscar (Audrey), her son in law Milton Payne, her grandchildren Stephanie (Darcy), Stephen (Trista), Danny, Deanna (Grant), Adam (Nicky), Dayna, Bianca (Aaron), Dylan, Hailee, and her great-grandchildren Winter, Katelyn, Alexis, Alyssa, Logan, Gaige, Lucas, Kaleb, Courtney, Max, Lucas, Brynlee, Nevaeh, Jaelyn, Delilah, and Laynee. She is also survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family, along with numerous friends who will cherish her memory.
Bride’s home was a haven of warmth, where she welcomed the sound of children playing. She always ensures her family was safe and made sure no one ever left her house hungry. She found joy in playing cards with her husband, embarking on their Sunday drives, and couldn’t wait for a good game of bingo. Her family was her world, and she loved them fiercely. Bride’s absence creates an emptiness and she will be deeply missed.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff who provided her with comfort in her final days, caring for her as if she were their own.
