Wesley George Roberts
October 1, 1936 – September 25, 2024
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Wesley Roberts announce his passing on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Western Long Term Care Centre in Corner Brook.
Wesley loved to travel to warm places after his retirement with the Department of Transportation and Works in Deer Lake. He was an active member of St. Paul’s United Church and in his later years, loved to sing.
He will be mourned and sadly missed by his children Cindy (Dennis) Walsh and Rick (Agnes) Roberts; grandchildren Kenneth (Lisa), Shane, Andrew (Stephanie), and Mitchell (Sarah); great-grandchildren Mckenzie, Emma, Hannah, and Michael; sisters-in-law Sybil and Marjorie; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Wesley was predeceased by his wife Helen, parents Stephen and Alma Roberts; parents-in-law Cecil and Phoebe Greening; brother Charlie Roberts; sister Margarite White; and brother-in-law Roy Greening.
Thank you to the staff at the Western Long Term Care Centre for taking care of our dad during his stay.
Visitation will take place for family and friends on Monday, September 30th at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake from the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 1st at St. Paul’s United Church, 17 Spruce Street, Deer Lake with Rev. Simon officiating. An interment will follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery.
