Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of the late Sheila Burridge announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook NL on February 1st 2024 at the age of 73 years.
Sheila leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 49 years: Carson Burridge; son; Colin Burridge (Paulette); daughter; Carolyn Kelly (Sheldon); grandson; Lucas Burridge; and special niece; Lisa Starks (Byron); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Sheila is predeceased by her parents; Naomi “Nomie” and William Payne; and her sister; Cynthia.
A loving wife, mother, aunt, and Nanny; Sheila always loved her family first and foremost. Never selfish, her heart was kept full knowing that her family, especially her grandson, were happy. She loved animals but particularly enjoyed watching birds at their feeder. She had a competitive nature and liked winning at Scrabble, darts, and board games. She enjoyed solving sudoku puzzles, baking, knitting, sewing, fishing, shopping, and painting. Her evenings were spent speaking with her family and listening to music. She will be fondly remembered for her generous and caring heart.
At Sheila’s request, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Sunday February 4th 2024, at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 1 PM-3 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 3 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Terry Loder officiating. There will be no interment at this time.
