It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Bertha Penashue announce her passing on Friday, November 15th, 2024, at the Miller Centre, St. John’s, NL at the age of 52 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband: Marty Andrew; children: Nicole Penashue (Pien Selma), Shipiss Andrew (Margaret Nuna), Hannah Penashue (Kanikuen Pastitshi), Alex Penashue (Denise Piwas), Germaine Penashue (Peter John Andrew) and Matshiu Ben Penashue (Eliza Tuglavina); mother: Philomena Penashue; sisters: Janet Penashue, Pauline Pone and Lyla Nuna; brothers: Pat Penashue, Roderick Penashue and Tony Penahue; grandchildren: Madison, Lucas, Savannah, Cole, McKenna, Liam, Callum, Mateo and Sophie Lynn; great grandchild: Elias; as well as a large circle of extended relatives and friends.
Geraldine was predeceased by her father: Antuan Penashue; daughter: Adele Penashue; grandparents: Alphonse and Caroline Andrew and Pien and Lizette Penashue.
A wake will be held at the CYN, Sheshatshiu, NL on Friday, November 22nd, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm for family only and 3:00 pm onward for the public.
The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, from the Roman Catholic Church in Sheshatshiu, NL at 12:00 pm with Father Joe officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
