It is with great sadness that the family of the late Derrick Austin announce his passing on February 17th, 2024, at his private residence in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 64 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Beverly Austin; daughter: Heather Austin; brothers: Darren Austin (Tanya), Tyrone Austin (Kay) and Ray Austin; sisters: Dale Kent (Wayne), Tammie Harnum (Ed), Venessa Power (Bruce); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Derrick was predeceased by his parents: Gordon and Winnie Austin; and his sister: Debbie Faulkner.
Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Thursday February 22nd, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Helping Hands Committee, Long Term Care, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.
The family would like to send special thanks to Dr Gabe Woollam and all those involved in his care at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.
