Benoit’s Cove
It is with great sadness that the family of Darryl Vater announce his sudden passing at his residence in Benoit’s Cove on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the age of 56 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother, Shirley Vater, whom he resided with; brothers, Randy, Robert and Darren; sisters, Maxine, Greta and Rosemary and their spouses; nieces and nephews; Shane, Geniene, Derrick , Ashley, Bradley, Stephanie, Brooke and their spouses and children; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Darryl was predeceased by his father, Stephen Vater Sr, and brother Stephen Vater Jr. (who predeceased him on September 13, 2023). Darryl was kind and compassionate. He enjoyed spending time in the woods and on the water. He loved nature and his family. In keeping with Darryl’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family burial for both Darryl and Stephen Jr. will take place at Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery, Benoit’s Cove.
