It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cornelia Newcombe announce her passing on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 66 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her four daughters: Vanessa Hattie (James), Jessica Newcombe (Bruce), Corina Wells (Jamey), and Crystal Alcock (Kyle); grandchildren: Heather (Emery), Sasha, & Alexandra Newcombe (Dakota), Kendra & Devin Chevalier, Katlyn & Adriana Wells, and Adaline & Archer Alcock; brothers and sisters: Ivan (Mardy), Sandy (Elva), Roy (Tina), Isaac (Glenda), Kerry (Shannon), Beatrice Caines (James), Vina Salkeld (Steve), Doris Hutchings (Bob), Jessie Taylor, and Hilda Penney (Lorne); and brothers-in-law: Tex Hynes, Brian Scanlon, and Michael Tatchell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Cornelia is predeceased by her parents: Alexander and Mabel Newcombe; sisters: Joyce, Mary, Hazel, and Clara; brothers-in-law: Calvin Taylor, and Guy Mahar; and sister-in-law: Rebecca Newcombe.
As per Cornelias wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private visitation scheduled for family, from where a private funeral service will take place, with an interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery with Father Edward Terry officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Cornelias memory to a charity of one’s choice.
The family wishes to extend a heart felt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital-Intensive Care Unit, for all of their kindness and support shown during this difficult time. It will forever be appreciated.
