Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Friday, November 24, 2023, Norman Harvey, age 95.
Predeceased by his parents Walter and Grace Harvey, his wife Bernice and son Robert.
Left to mourn with loving memories are his daughter Jane Harvey (Boyce), grandkids Paul Mercer (Penny), Janice Coles (Jason), great grandchildren Anastasia Brown (Bradley), Austin Mercer, Amber Stolz (Jordan), Melody Coles, great-great grandchildren Aria Brown, Mya Brown, Nora Brown and other family and friends.
Norman met and married Bern (Mom) and was married on December 16th, 1956 and moved to Gander in 1998. He worked in many places throughout the years in Gander but his absolute favorite place was Walmart.
Norman was a hard worker. He loved his Bingo, slot machines and scratch tickets. He also loved going for coffee with the boys at Country Kitchen and ice fishing.
Thank you to the Drs, and nurses at JPMH for the wonderful care he received while staying there.
Family will be accepting friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Sunday, November 26th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. and Monday, November 27th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
Cremation will follow. Interment will follow at the Trinity Pentecostal Cemetery, Baie Verte.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Norman’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements entrusted through Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander – Carmanville.
