Albert John Jacobs Obituary
Passed away suddenly on October 6, 2024 at the Lionel Kelland Hospice in Grand Falls-Windsor after a battle with cancer, Albert John Jacobs, 80 years of age. Albert was born in Botwood, April 26, 1944. At a young age Albert met and fell in love with his wife, Bernetta, and together they built a peaceful and blessed life with their children and grandchildren. Through sickness and in health, his unchanging bond of love and devotion would never fail. Albert was a retired contractor/carpenter, who lived life to the fullest through the simplest pleasures such as chatting with family and friends, his time spent at his cabin in Winter Tickle, boating, ski doing, fishing, listening to music; just to mention a few. He cherished his time with his children and grandchildren very much, they have so many fond memories of him.
Albert will be remembered for his loving and giving ways. He was always ready to help a lending hand to anyone and anything that was asked of him. He went above and beyond in everything he did.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Gladys Jacobs; and brother Roy Jacobs. Leaving to cherish so many beautiful memories are his wife, the love of his life, his best friend, Bernetta; his children Michelle (Mike); Bill (Robin); his precious gifts and angels; Grandsons, Jeffery (Brittany); Joshua; granddaughters, Kirklyn (Spencer); Lindsey (Elliott); brothers, Glenn (Lynn); as well as a large circle of friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations will be accepted in memory of Albert to the St. James Anglican Church, Botwood.
