Kimberley Vincent Dennis Hobbs
February 23, 1976 – August 13, 2024
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Kim at 48 years old. Kim left us unexpectedly, leaving a void that will never be filled.
Kim was predeceased by his father Glenn Hobbs, sister Elizabeth Hobbs, grandparents Wilfred and Madge Hobbs, grandparents Hezekiah and Rosella Stagg, uncles, aunts and cousins. Kim is survived by his mother Juanita Hobbs, brothers Fabian (Sherry), Derrick and sister Pamela (Paul). Nephew Jason and girlfriend Nancy. Uncles Gilbert and Donnie (Ashley). Kim also leaves behind many cousins and friends that loved him dearly.
Kim will be missed greatly by all of his family and friends, which extends from Newfoundland to Alberta.
Kim fished with his brother Fabian in his younger years, then he left Newfoundland when he was 19 to work in Toronto. He also worked in Alberta on pipeline and on the boats in Greenland fishing for some time but eventually came back to his home, Newfoundland. For the remainder of his life he was a fisherman, this is where his heart truly belonged.
A celebration of life for Kim will be held this Saturday, August 24 at the Port Union Chalet between 2-6 p.m. This gathering is a space for love, support and remembrance. We wish to focus solely on the positive impact Kim had on the world. He truly was a one of a kind. Though Kim was taken from us far to soon, Kim’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Rest in peace dear Kim. You are deeply loved and will forever be missed.
