Obituary of Chad Wonsiak
The family of Chad Wonsiak of Yorkton sadly announces his passing on August 31, 2024. Chad was 42 years of age.
A Celebration of Chad’s life will be held on Monday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association as gifts of remembrance.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the death of Chad Thomas Wonsiak of Yorkton, Saskatchewan on August 31, 2024 at the age of 42.
Chad completed elementary, middle and high school in Yorkton. He loved all things outdoors – camping, fishing, water sports – especially water skiing at which he excelled. He could slalom and even gave bare foot skiing a good try! Chad was always up for a challenge! In the winter months Chad played hockey, snow boarded and snow mobiled.
Chad obtained his Red Seal welder status and worked as a welder in many places over Western Canada.
Chad’s greatest joy was in October of 2013 when Chad’s partner, Kyla gave birth to their son, Keaton. Chad’s smile widened and his face softened at the very mention of this little replica of him. Chad was a loving, attentive Dad who spent as much time with Keaton as possible.
Chad was a loyal friend to his many good friends. He was often referred to as “oak tree” by his buddies. I’m certain that there are many reasons for this description. I believe it was apt because Chad stood tall and firm. He was strong! He worked hard, played hard, loved fiercely and never quit pushing for what he believed to be right!
Chad is predeceased by his father, grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Chad is survived by his son, Keaton Puryk of Saskatoon, his mother, Loryl Wonsiak (Longworth), his brother, Ryan Wonsiak, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
