Audrey Clara Reaser passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Rosthern Hospital on September 18, 2024 at the age of 83. Audrey lived a life of positivity and strength. She faced many health struggles, and never complained. Her faith in God’s love and mercy kept her strong. She was tenacious and independent. With these personality traits, the attentiveness of her caregivers, and the support of her family, she was able to live in her own home until her final days.
Audrey grew up on the farm east of Cudworth, the youngest daughter of a large Catholic family. As an adult, she lived in Saskatoon and worked in the office pool at City Hospital for 15 years. When her health declined due to a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, she moved back to Cudworth to live with her parents in town. The years went on, and soon it was Alphonse and Frieda who needed care. Audrey stepped in with total dedication to their needs. Because of her, Audrey’s parents were able to live out their lives in their own home, surrounded by their children and grandchildren. She continued this spirit of self-sacrifice and love by being like a mother to Michelle, and constant supporter of her brother, Bob. Audrey’s favourite activities in life were spending time at her Wakaw Lake cabin, and enjoying martinis with her friends in her Cudworth home. Blessed with a pragmatic sensibility, dry wit, and boundless heart, she made everyone in her presence feel special. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Alphonse and Frieda (Wilde) Reaser, her sisters, Eileen (Louis) Kolla, Valerie (Joseph) Kammermayer, and Mary MacLeod, and her sisters-in-law Shirley Reaser (nee Schlosser) and Sylvia Reaser (nee Kirzinger). Audrey is survived by her niece and Goddaughter, Michelle Reaser (Barry Regehr) and their children; her brothers: Roger Reaser, Al (Kathy) Reaser and Bob Reaser; her brother in law, Joseph MacLeod; as well as innumerable cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Cudworth, SK on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at
10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Benjamin Ezekwudo as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Audrey may be directed to St. Michael’s Haven.
