We sadly announce the passing of Gerald Mafis Belly, “Muhtikwup,” on Wednesday July 17, 2024. Gerald is survived by his wife, Colleen; Children, Jason Chell (Rhonda Lewis), Beverly Singer, Carlos Singer (Krystal Dillon), Kenny Singer, Angelle Chell, and Gerald “Gerry” Chell (Darla Laliberte); sixteen grandchildren and one great grandson; his siblings Henry Cantell, Marilyn Morris (Wayne), Sara Faithful (Delbert), Garnet Belly (Doris), Verna Belly, Elphy Mitsuing (Nicole Oullette), Carmella Belly (Rick), Eldrid Belly (Vicky Thunderchild); his three Aunts, Lillian Whitstone, Josephine Mountain, Theresa Paskimin, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends
Gerald is predeceased by his parents; Simon and Yvonne Belly, his siblings; Kevin Belly Sr. and Conrad Belly, his paternal grandparents; Joe and Annie Belly, his maternal grandparents; Moses and Rosa Paskimin, his nephews; Draper Belly and Wyatt Belly, his nieces; Kelly Belly and Lenora Belly, and his granddaughters Carlee Singer and Aria Littlewolfe.
The wake for Gerald Belly will begin Tuesday July 23rd at 2:00 pm at the Onion Lake Communiplex. The service will start Thursday July 25th at 11:00 am and will also be held at the Onion Lake Communiplex. Burial to follow at Wīhcēkaskosīw Sākahikan Ayawēpowin Cemetery, Onion Lake Cree Nation, SK.
