Jeff Bahr
June 23, 1965 — November 18, 2024
It is with the utmost sadness we share the passing of Jeff Bahr-beloved son, devoted father, loving partner, big brother, fun-loving uncle, and dear friend.
After a courageous battle with colon cancer, Jeff has found peace in a better place, where he is surely enjoying a long-awaited golf game with his friend Rob Reid.
Jeff was full of energy from the very beginning. He was a natural athlete with a competitive spirit, a caregiver with an unwavering lover for his family, nature and animals. Jeff was frequently described as the “glue” that kept everyone together. From coaching Jake’s hockey team with pride and passion to being Madi’s most dedicated “Dance Dad,” never missing a performance, Jeff’s devotion to his children was remarkable.
His love story with Shannon was filled with joy and adventure. Together, they shared countless moments of happiness-sitting on the beaches of Waskesiu and Mexico, cheering loudly at sporting events & spending quality time and making memories with family & friends.
Professionally, Jeff was a valued member of the Federated Co-op team for many years and his dedication and character will be missed by his coworkers.
Jeff’s kind heart and zest for life were undeniable. He never missed the chance to share a laugh over a cold beer and a burger, or play a round of golf with good friends. We raise a glass in his honour and celebrate a life so full of love and generosity.
Jeff is survived by: Parents, Ron and Joanne; his children, Jakob and Madison; his loving partner, Shannon, and her children, Mackenzie and Kieran; his sister, Amy, her husband, Warren, and their children, Joseph and Jackson, and his extended family.
At Jeff’s request, no formal service will be held. Instead, his family and friends will gather for a celebration of his life at a later date to remember the joy and love he brought to so many.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s memory may be made to the Hospice at Glengarda or the SPCA.
“You gave us everything, and now we carry your wisdom and love in our hearts, forever grateful for the life you shared with us.”
