Obituary
With great sadness the family announces the passing of Elaine Marie Ogenchuk on October 3, 2023. She was a wonderful and caring daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend who will be missed by all. Elaine was born on December 1, 1967 to Bill & Valeda Ogenchuk, the youngest of six children. She received all her education in Rosetown. Elaine’s life path took her to various careers including teacher aide, daycare operator, office work and eventually to her true calling in life as a reflexologist. She volunteered her time with the CWL, Meals on Wheels and various animal rescue organizations. She was always ready and willing to assist whoever needed help.
We will always remember her sense of humour and uncanny ability to make people laugh, right up to her last moments. Elaine always enjoyed getting together with family and friends, to laugh, play cards, and hang out with her many nieces and nephews. One of Elaine’s passions was to look after any stray animal that showed up at her door. If you were her dog or cat, you were her best friend.
Elaine was predeceased by her father Bill in 1993 and brother Michael in 1974, as well as numerous relatives. Left to celebrate her life are her mother Val, her sisters Lorraine, Dianne and Joanne and her brother Dennis (Alison), as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and her beloved pets.
The family wishes to thank the caring and supportive staff at RUH and the Palliative Ward at St. Paul Hospital for her brief stay with them. Thank you to Fr. H & K for making the time to visit her in the hospital. It gave her comfort to know they were there.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Theresa’s Parish, Rosetown, SK.
