Obituary
With great sadness, the family of the late Karen Jarduk of Yorkton, SK, announce her passing on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 70 years.
Karen Joan Jarduk (Beattie) was born April 28, 1953, to Walter and Arlette (Lambert) Beattie. She was the second of five children. She completed her education in Snow Lake, MB and went on to further her education in The Pas, MB. After completion of her program, she began working in a care home in Swan River. It was in this Manitoba town, Karen met the love of her life, her future husband, Frank.
Karen married Frank Jarduk in Snow Lake on October 26, 1974. Soon after, they moved to Frank’s family farm outside of Danbury, SK. Together they farmed and raised four children: Bradley, Nicole, Amanda, and Shane. Family and friends were very important to Karen and Frank, and they always made time for them. Karen will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Karen was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Arlette, her husband, Frank, and her brother, Terry. She leaves to mourn her children: Brad (Angela), Nicole (Kevin), Amanda, and Shane (Kendra), her grandchildren: Dineke (Mason), Cassidy (Logan), Lily, Maisie, Owen, Zoe, Jaxson and Olivia, her siblings: Murray (Janet), Debbie (Erhart), and Darlene (Dalton), and her sister-in-law, Nancy, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
A Public Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from the Chapel of Leson’s Funeral Home, Canora, SK, with Rev. Miles Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Canora Cemetery, Canora, SK.
Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to a Charity of Donor’s Choice, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Karen Jarduk.
