It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luisa Porporino Aloe, at the age of 75, on July 1st, 2024 in Montreal. Beloved wife, mother, Nonna, sister, zia and friend, Luisa was loved by all who knew her; she will be forever loved and forever remembered.
Luisa was predeceased by her parents Pasquale Porporino and Ortenzia Launi. She is survived by her husband Gaetano, son Roberto (Concetta), daughter Lina (Jason), grandchildren Paige (Alex), Jeremy (Émy), Jessica, Zachary, Julia and great-grand-daughter Madeleine. She is also survived by her brother Angelo (Mirella), brother in-laws Angelo (Mariella), Lelio (Giovanna), nephews and niece, Pasquale (Ginette), Nancy (Michael), Danny, Pasquale, Sylvio, Francesco, Angelo, Pasquale, Michele, Lelio as well as many relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Monday July 8th 2024 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. as well as on Tuesday July 9th 2024 from 11 am to 12 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, 1275 Dollard Avenue in LaSalle. The funeral will be held on Tuesday July 9th at 1 p.m. at Madre Dei Cristiani Church, 7935 Lefebvre Street in LaSalle.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the team at the Montreal Neurological Institute as well as our heartfelt appreciation to the staff and volunteers at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence for their support and compassion in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence would be greatly appreciated.
