It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn on November 18, 2024 at the wonderful age of 98. She is predeceased by her loving husband Terry, and her children: Dorothy, William, and Timmy. Also gone before her are numerous siblings and in-laws. She will be profoundly missed by her children: Marlene (Rainer); Terry (Pat), Danny (Birgit) and daughter-in-law Kim. Loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, and several great grandchildren who all adored her. She will be fondly remembered but sadly missed by her remaining brother Ben, and sister-in-law Lena; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Evelyn had a big heart whose home was open to everyone and always there to help out a friend in need. She loved baking and cooking for her family and friends right to the end of her life. Her visits to her homestead in P.E.I. continued to be a highlight. Her passing will leave a huge void in many lives.
Visitation will be at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Rue Notre Dame, Lachine on Sunday, Nov. 24 from 2-5 and 7-9. Service and reception will be held Mon., Nov. 25 at 1pm at the same location.
