It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ion Nedelcu, on December 19, 2024 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Cristina, he will also be sadly missed by his daughter Irina, her husband Vito and their daughters Ava and Scarlett, his son Andrei and his family, his brother and sister, his niece, nephew, other relatives, colleagues and friends.
Ion, also known to all as Nelu was a devoted husband who cared deeply for his family. He loved long walks, spending time outside, traveling, playing or watching sports, especially tennis. Nelu was very active, always on the go. He enjoyed offering his friends and guests a drink and being Bunicu.
Nelu was a man who loved life, making people smile and most of all, one of the most caring people we will ever know.
The family will receive condolences at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695, Saint-Jean Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9H 2A7, on Friday, January 3, 2025 from1-3 p.m. A tribute, celebrating his life and sharing of memories will take place at 3 p.m. followed by a reception from 4-6 p.m. For those who can’t attend, you can join us on live stream.
In lieu of flowers, donation to the Montreal Heart Institute would be greatly appreciated.
