Chris Blyde Obituary
Christopher Kenneth Blyde, known affectionately as Chris to his family and friends, passed away tragically on November 10, 2024, at the age of 24, due to a car accident in Woodstock, Ontario. Born in London, Ontario, on February 8, 2000, to Phil and Patricia Blyde, Chris was a beacon of love and joy in the lives of those around him.
Chris grew up in a close-knit family alongside his brother Donny and sister Ashley (Riker). He was a cherished grandson to Wendy Stewart and the late Dave Stewart, as well as Linda Anderson and George (Jim) Blyde. His infectious laughter and warm presence will also be deeply missed by his adoring nieces, Trinity, Airabella, and Paisley, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were an integral part of his life.
A proud graduate of Lord Dorchester Secondary School in Dorchester, ON, Chris was known for his friendly demeanor and his generous spirit. He carried these qualities into his professional life, where he was a respected employee at Wisebys of London, ON. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated worker who brought light-heartedness and sincerity to every interaction.
Chris’s passion for life extended beyond his work. He was an avid video gamer, a voracious reader, and cherished every moment he spent with his family and friends. His love for these pastimes was only surpassed by the love he had for his family. Chris’s idea of a perfect day was one spent surrounded by his loved ones, sharing stories and making memories.
Those who knew Chris will remember him as the embodiment of kindness. His loving nature was evident in everything he did, and his generosity knew no bounds. Chris had the rare ability to make friends wherever he went, and his friendly approach to life ensured that he left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
As we mourn the loss of Christopher Kenneth Blyde, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led. In his 24 years, Chris touched the hearts of many and brought immeasurable happiness to those around him. His legacy will live on in the countless memories he created with his family and friends.
Chris’s life was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and kindness. He will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to walk alongside him during his all-too-brief journey on this earth. We find comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, just as he did in life.
A ceremony to honor Chris’s life will be held by the family. We bid farewell to a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend. Christopher Kenneth Blyde will forever remain in our hearts as a gentle soul who left this world far too soon but left it a better place for having been here. Rest in peace Chris.
