*In Loving Memory of Antonio Romano*
January 1, 1946 – October 20, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonio Romano, born in Bojano (CB) Italy. In 1964, he courageously immigrated to Canada. Central to his heart was his beloved wife of 56 years, Angela.
His legacy will be carried on by his devoted children Michele (Giovanna), Fabio (Linda), and Gianni, and his adored grandchildren Julia, Daniel, Luca, and Adrian.
Antonio is survived by his siblings Cristina, Maria (Mario), Franca (Emidio), and Nino. Reunited in heaven with his parents Michele and Rosaria, brothers Enzo and Mario, and sister-in-law Anna and brother-in-law Gianni.
He will be missed by his many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends here, and in Italy.
Antonio lived a life full of passion, laughter, and countless happy memories. A fervent soccer enthusiast, his heart always beat a little faster for his favorite team, Juventus.
We will miss his presence, love of family, swiftness to forgive, sound advice, classic one-liners, fist bumps, impromptu Scopa and soccer games with his grandchildren, and how amazing he was.
A commemoration of Antonio’s rich life will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Thursday from 2-4pm & 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, 100 Bainbridge Ave, Woodbridge, on Friday October 27, 2023 at 9:30am.
