Passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, at the age of 90. Loving husband of Marie (nee Belleperche) for 67 years. Dear father of Karin Van Buskirk, and Linda Makuch. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Doris Makuch and his siblings Mike, Jennie, Mary, John, and Eugene. Survived by his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steve retired as Manager of Bridge Operations, CBSA after nearly 40 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed celebrating special occasions with his co-workers who became his dear, cherished friends. Steve loved the outdoors and took great pride in caring for his lawn and the well-manicured lawns of many others. Steve was a hard-working man who enjoyed simple pleasures.

Visitation Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until time of a prayer service and words of remembrance at 3:00 p.m. at Families First, South Windsor, 3260 Dougall Ave. (519-969-5841).
