It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rickey, a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, who left us on September 16, 2024, at the age of 79. Rickey was a true family man whose life was defined by the love he had for his family. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (nee Jessop) with whom he shared 58 years of marriage filled with profound love. Rickey was a devoted father to Kim Sidi-Hutnik (Doyle Braznell) and Chris (Tricia) Hutnik. Predeceased by Regina and Michael Hutnik and adored by brothers and sisters Michael Jr. (Bev), Chris (Kim), Laurie (Dan) and Marilyn.
Rickey’s bond with his family was as deep as it was unbreakable. His devotion to his wife, Joyce, was boundless and his love for her was unshakable. Their relationship was a testament of true and everlasting love. Rickey took pride in guiding his children with wisdom and unwavering support. He was a proud grandfather to Maygan, Christian, Marley, Joel (Kathleen) and Tayla. His grandkids knew they could always count on their Papa. Rickey cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, showering them with love, his life stories, and lessons they will carry forever. Some of his fondest memories and greatest stories were of his childhood in Stop 26. He was a hero to his family, a pillar of strength, dedication and protection. Rickey always put his family first and will be remembered for his selflessness and generous spirit.
Rickey was a dedicated and proud employee of Ford Motor Company where he worked for 38 years and retired in 2004.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. Though he is no longer with us, his love will remain with us forever.
