Surrounded by the love of her family, Celia passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024 at the age of 93. Reunited with her beloved husband Manuel Sr. (1994). Devoted Nanay to Manuel Jr., Chitt, Lito (Cherry) and Rowena. Proudest Lola to Jake and Shawn. Dear sister to Carmen R. Mendiola, Asuncion R. Castro, late sister Rebecca Vinuya, and the late brothers Gabriel Romero, Apolinario Romero, Manolo Romero, Fernando Romero and Danilo Romero. Predeceased by her cherished parents Ernesto and Efigenia Romero. Celia will be missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Portland and the Philippines. Celia had a zest for life always lighting up every room she entered. She was the glue that has held her family together, always filling the tummies of those she loved. Her company was always a place of a calmness and safety. Celia exuded kindness and love to all those she encountered in her life and we were blessed to have felt her love. Special thank you to Riverside Place for the care and compassion shown to our mother. If so desire, donations to Riverside Place would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Friday August 23, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. Relative and friends are invited to join the family on Saturday August 24, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish (834 Raymo Rd.). Procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
