Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Thursday, October 12, 2023, Shirley Benoit (nee O’Hare) of Winchester, age 73. Loving mother of Keith Benoit (Teresa), Carolyn McCue (Brent), Kerry Benoit and Suzanne Benoit. Dear sister of Margaret Legault (late Ron). Dear sister-in-law of Wendy Lonsdale. Shirley will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Emma, Lily, Luke and Ryan. She was predeceased by her parents John and Agnes O’Hare (nee Mulvihill), her daughter Claudette Gagne (nee Benoit), her infant sister Irene O’Hare and her brother Leonard O’Hare. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Sunday, October 22nd from 1-3 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
