In loving memory of Bob Elliott

Robert Stephen Elliott passed away suddenly at his home in Whitby with his family around him on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at the age of 54.
Beloved husband and best friend of Anne Marie Elliott (nee Lannon). Loving and cherished father of Zach and Megan. Youngest son of (predeceased) parents and lifelong educators Steve and Sally Elliott. Son-in-law of Kay Lannon, predeceased by father-in-law Tom Lannon. Survived by his brother Bill (Janice) and sister Barb (Chris), brothers-in-law Pat (Margaret), Tom, Rob, and sister-in-law Cathy, by nieces and nephews Jacqui, Steven, Elliott, Emma, Rachelle, Sean, Katlin, Aden, and Kelly, and by his aunts Peg (Dave, predeceased), and Jean (Tom), and by his loyal and long-standing friends, including his cousin and partner in crime Dave Bunce Jr., all of whom will continue to hold Bob in esteem and honour the best of him in their memories.
Bob will be mourned and deeply missed by all who knew him. Born in 1970, a baby brother, our golden boy, full of curiosity and positive energy. He enriched our lives. His stellar trajectory into top C-suites in Canada and the United States was grounded in the home base of his devoted family in Whitby. His life was cut tragically short but we will always remember his keen intelligence, his ironic ever-present wit and self-awareness, and his generosity in acknowledging others. He strongly believed in an ethic of hard work and fairness. Bob’s exacting attention to detail was tempered by his zest for seizing the fun in the moment (years of fishing trips, countless concerts with Anne Marie, and regular family centred vacations), His passion was to share those heightened moments in life with family and friends. Gatherings will never be the same without his large and invaluable presence. A glass is upside down to forever mark his place whenever we gather.
Bob will be resting at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel (110 Dundas Street, Whitby) on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 6 pm to 8 pm. A second visitation will take place at W.C. Town from 12 noon – 1 pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, followed by a funeral ceremony from 1 pm – 2 pm.
Burial to follow immediately at Groveside Cemetery in Whitby.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Bob’s memory to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Brain Cancer Canada.
