Field, Muriel – We are broken hearted to announce the passing of our dear sweet mother, just 3 months shy of her 90th birthday. We rejoice that she has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour and she is now reunited with her husband, (passed in March 2020) of 60 years William Henry, mother Dorothy, father Milton, sister Elva and son David. She is survived by sister Marlene, brother Ken, from Collingwood. Muriel was a loving mother to four children. The eldest son being William Isaac, eldest daughter being Catherine Elizabeth. The two younger siblings being David Milton (deceased 2006), youngest daughter Nancy Ruth- Anne. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
Muriel was born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario and met her husband Bill, through his sister Mona. She had a strong faith in GOD and loved to express it through her ability to sing and play the piano, a skill that she acquired as a child, through much diligence. She used this talent to glorify Jesus Christ. Mom graciously expressed her love for her family by creating delicious meals that often consisted of tasty puddings, pies and cookies for desert.
This created happy memorable times at Christmas and other special occasions.
Although mom, for short periods of time, worked outside of the home, she always managed to keep a clean, safe, loving environment, while at times, showing her mischievous side.
As children, we noticed that she was usually busy but always had time to sit down and listen to us. She wanted to know our hearts.
Though mom endured many trials and disappointments in her lifetime, it was evident that her faith in Jesus Christ, only made her stronger to be the wife and mother that we knew and loved so dearly. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Thursday, July 11th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. A service to celebrate Muriel’s will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to
Intercede International, www.intercedenow.ca/ would be appreciated by the family.
