Obituary of Joseph Rusin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Rusin at the Welland Hospital, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the age of 93, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Lilianne (née Seguin). Loving father to his 4 children; David, the late Steve, Randy (Amelia) and Charlene (Paul). Cherished brother of Stanley. Forever in the hearts of his grandchildren Zachary (Antonella), Dylan (Jessica), Max (Sarah) and Leah & great-grandchildren Bianca, Valentina, Zachary Jr. and Anthony. He will be greatly missed by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as many nieces, nephews & friends. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Mary & his brother Johnny.
Joseph was employed for many years at Atlas Steels before retirement. He found great pride in tending to his garden. In his younger years, he enjoyed the many camping trips with his family & friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff working in the Emergency Department for their compassion and care. A heartfelt thank you to Roger and staff at the Welland Funeral Home for being so kind and compassionate to our family at this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, ON. A private graveside service will be held for the family. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
