Perrin, George – December 25, 1945 to June 3, 2024
Surrounded by his family at the St. Catharines Hospital, George passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 3, 2024, at the age of 78.
George will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Sandra, daughter Tamara Preston (Andrew), grandsons Jarod, Jonah and Micah, son Chris Perrin (Rosie), grandsons Nathan and Matthew, along with his extended family. Predeceased by his brother Donald Perrin (Marilyn).
George had a successful career in Telecommunications, working in Brockville, Ottawa and Victor New York. Retiring in 2009, George enjoyed his summers cruising around in his red MG and spending winters in Florida with family and friends.
Throughout his life, George was an active member of his local church and enjoyed serving in various capacities.
George loved travelling, playing board games, sharing meals but most of all, just being surrounded by his family. He was loved and respected by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the St Catharines and Niagara Falls Hospitals ICU teams of doctors and nurses for their thoughtful care of George.
The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, June 14th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate George’s life will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Saturday, June 15th at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Fonthill Cemetery.
