Obituary of Marion Helen Oliver
Marion Oliver peacefully passed away on Tuesday December 17th, 2024, at Grand River (Freeport) Hospital, Kitchener in her 88th year. Loving wife of Rodney, mother of the late Larry (Karen), Catherine Magill (Mike), Karen Blaauw (Heino) and Sean (Debbie). Proud grandmother to David, Andrew, Jessica, Sean (Sarah), Evan (Michelle), Rhiannon (Ben), Cameron, Kaylyn (Jordan Piaskowy), Kerianne (Jordan Malm), Rachel, Kyle, Michael and Emma. Marion was also the proud great grandmother of thirteen.
Marion was predeceased by her son Larry, her first husband Bob and her six siblings.
Marion was born in Toronto, on July 17, 1937, and was raised by her loving Aunt Gertrude ‘Auntie’ and Roy ‘Uncle’ Wallace. In her healthier years she maintained an active social life, loved to play cards and cribbage (always for money) and worked hard providing a comfortable home for her family. She was a long-time employee at the City of North York and often worked two jobs when necessary.
Cremation has taken place.
A visitation will be held at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, Ontario on Friday January 17th 2024 from 1:00 – 1:45 pm. A Celebration of life will follow at 2:00pm, with a reception to follow.
