Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the age of 71.
Glen is survived by his nephew Nathan Schmidt, niece Sarah Schmidt, and his sister-in-law Kim Schmidt.
He was predeceased by his parents Nile and Beatrice Schmidt, brother Brian Schmidt, and Aunt Elenor Schmidt.
Glen will be remembered for his wealth of knowledge, passion for teaching, and his kindness to others.
Special thanks to the Trillium Health Partners and Mississauga Hospital for their care, and to Glen’s devoted friend Brian Dawe.
Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Glen during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo on Thursday, September 28 from 7pm – 9pm, and on Friday, September 29 from 9:30am – 10:20 am. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 29 at 10:30am. A luncheon will follow the service in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room. Private interment at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice through www.erbgood.com.
