Wietske “Wilma” Veneberg (nee Berger) Obituary
At CAMA Woodlands Nursing Home in Burlington Wietske went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in her 103rd year. Loving wife of the late Lammert Veneberg (deceased Nov 20, 2011).
She will be sadly missed by her Son Gerald Veneberg, daughter Jeannette Watkins (Luke), grandchildren Alex and Chloe, and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters and brothers in the Netherlands, Canada and the USA (Mense, Meine, Thijs, Anna, Geertje, Sjeersche, Femmigje and their spouses). Survived by many nieces and nephews in the Netherlands, USA and Canada.
Wilma loved her Lord and was looking forward to that day when she would see him face to face. Her greatest wish and prayer was that all may come to know the love of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Special thanks to all the staff at CAMA Woodlands Nursing Home for the care given to her during the past 13 years. Also special thanks to former Chaplain, Rev. Gordon Bucek, and his spouse Janet, and current Chaplain, Sharlene Henderson, as well as Jenaya Langman for all the messages of encouragement and joy shared over the years.
Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, beginning at 10:30 a.m. up until the time of the Service at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Private family burial will take place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
