Teddy Calvin Eden Obituary
After a long and courageous battle with cancer over the past year and a half, Teddy Calvin Eden peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Friday, June 7, 2024 at the age of 70 years. Teddy was born on March 12, 1954 in Hamilton, Ontario. He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years Shirley; his daughters, April, Aimee, Teddie (Rebecca), Paula (Matt); and his cherished grandchildren Sloan “Sloanie”, Maverick and Hallie. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Verlie (Paul and nieces) and brother-in-law Brad (Debbie and family). Teddy was predeceased by his parents Paul and Ethel, and his siblings.
He will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, dear friends and companions. Teddy was renowned for his sense of humor, especially his much-loved Dad jokes. He found great joy in spending time on the family property, farming the land he loved. A man of many talents, Teddy could do anything, fix anything – if Grandpa couldn’t fix it, no one could – learn anything, and he always remained impossibly humble. He was known for his honesty, wisdom and kind heart. Above all, Teddy was a dedicated father and husband who will be deeply missed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Randy Cross and his team, as well as the staff at Juravinski Hospital for their loving care and support.
A Celebration of Teddy’s Life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the beloved family farm at 861 Centre Rd., Hamilton, ON L8N 2Z7, between 2 and 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Juravinski Cancer Centre or Animal Adoptions of Flamborough would be greatly appreciated.
