Jean Vivian Obituary
(Mary) Jean Vivian passed away suddenly in her 87th year at home in Burlington, ON. She will be sadly missed by her husband Ken; daughters Jill (Gary Scarrow), and Jennifer (Gary Boyd); grandchildren Allison (Stuart McIlwraith), Jodie, Kennedy and Max; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was excitedly awaiting the arrival of her first great-grandchild in March.
Jean was born and raised in Oakville, attending Palermo Public School and Oakville Trafalgar High School. Her first job was at Ford Motor Company as an office administrator. She was a member of the Milton Junior Farmers where she met her husband of 64 years. Jean was a part of the United Church Women’s group and a past board member of the Burlington Skating Club and long-term member of the Milton Fair Board. She worked frequently as a part of the Canadian Census and local election polling stations. She will be remembered for her love of sewing and knitting beautiful creations for family and friends. Jean was a dedicated care giver for her mother, grandmother and aunts.
Jean provided endless opportunities for her daughters to enjoy life and raise beautiful families of their own.
Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the start of a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
