Jean died peacefully in her 100th year on July 5, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Dave (2007). She was the loving mother of David (Mary), Dan (Nancy) and Deborah (Michael Thompson). Grandmother of Peter (Stephanie), Emily (Dave O’Connor), Elizabeth (Dan Matheson), Alex, Ian (Marina), Rachel and Daniel. Great Grandmother of Finn, Ellen, Benjamin, Ewan and Leo. Predeceased by her infant Grandson Matthew and Great Grandson Luke.
Jean was the eldest of the 7 Pattersons from Dundas; predeceased by Harry (Vi), Dorothy Smith (Orv), Bob (Ruth), and Don (Pauline). Survived by her sisters Audrey Hartwell (Joel) and Beverly Murphy (Bill).
On their family farm in Carlisle, Jean and Dave grew crops along with many long-lasting friendships. Although Jean lived with dementia in her later years, she never lost her beautiful smile.
Thanks to staff at The Village of Tansley Woods Long Term Care in Burlington for their compassionate care.
Funeral Service will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at GRACE ANGLICAN CHURCH, 157 Mill St. N., Waterdown (Parking off Main St.) starting at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow. Private interment Grove Cemetery, Dundas. Please sign the Tribute Wall.
