Hilda Postma (nee VanderVelde) Obituary
Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on September 14, 2024, Hilda entered into the arms of her Lord and Saviour at the age of 90. Beloved wife and soulmate of John for 66 years. Loving Mom to Tom (late Diana), Dorothy (Graham), Linda (Dieter), Elizabeth (Dan), and Judy (Mike). Caring and fun filled Grandma to 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her sister Grace Lindeman of California and was predeceased by brothers Hank and Clarence. Hilda had a strong and enduring faith in God and was a long-standing member of Flamborough Baptist Church.
Her greatest joy was bringing family and friends together in fellowship. A life well lived, appreciating God’s gifts and the things that matter most, family, faith and love.
A Memorial Service will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME., 146 Mill St N, Waterdown on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Flamborough Baptist Church in Hilda’s memory would be appreciated.
