Obituary
DE HAAN, Gesina “Sina” (nee Kiezebrink), at the age of 91, was taken to dwell in the Heavenly house of her Father, praising Him in perfection!
Beloved wife of the late Willem DeHaan (2008). Loved mother of Hank† DeHaan, Ina and Brian VanAndel, Bert† and Andrea DeHaan, Elly and Tim Hutten, Wilco and Julie DeHaan, and Fred DeHaan. Dear Oma of 26 grandchildren and Oma Oma of 38 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Jan, Henk and Cor and survived by their families in the Netherlands. Gesina will be remembered as a quiet presence, with a dry humour and a love of God’s creation. She was known by many as the knitting lady.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at SMITHVILLE CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 330 Station Street. The Memorial Service will be held at the same Church, on November 21, 2023 at 11 a.m., Rev. C. Bouwman officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. All are welcome to join the family at the interment which will take place prior to the service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Dunnville at 9:45 a.m. Donations to Shalom Manor & Gardens would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
