Geertruida Wieske Obituary
Geertruida Wilhelmina Annie Wieske (née Bergsma) was born in Scheveningen, The Netherlands on April 5th, 1939. At the age of 11, she and her family emigrated to Australia, where she later met the love of her life – Garrelt Wieske. They were married on October 14, 1960. She gave birth to 9 children, one of whom was taken up to her Saviour at the young age of two weeks. Trudi was a loving and loyal wife and an amazing mother. Her greatest desire in life was that her children serve the Lord. She was faithful in setting a godly example for us, reading bible stories to us and teaching us about God. She worked hard to make a loving and beautiful home for her family and gave us so many wonderful memories. She always loved music, fashion and flowers and spent many hours in the garden. When Dad became a minister, Mum willingly supported him and served in many different congregations with him. She was always ready to help those who needed it and made time to listen and share an encouraging word.
We thank the Lord for the incredible blessing He gave us in our wife and mother and we rejoice that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, free from all suffering and enjoying life eternal!

Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at ANCASTER CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 575 Shaver Road, Ancaster, where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery.
