Correy passed away suddenly in Kitchener on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the age of 43. Cherished son of Dan and Bev Bednis. Dear brother of Scott (Kathleen) and Robyn (Kyle). Uncle to William, Nathan, Breanna, Oaklyn, Nash and Krew.
Beloved grandson of Arleen Bednis, predeceased by Edward Bednis, Viola and Bill Kennedy.
Correy will be fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles: Cheryl Kennedy, Dale Kennedy (Cheryl), Glen Bednis (Kathy), Chantelle Jacklin (Dean), and predeceased by Darryl Bednis (Sandra). He will be missed by his many cousins.
Although Correy faced mental illness challenges in his life, the love for his family was constant throughout. He cared deeply about his nieces and nephews. He was an avid fisherman who loved spending time outdoors. Playing guitar and song writing provided him with great enjoyment. Sincere thanks to Nadine Green and Esther from Kitchener Better Tent City for their ongoing support, compassion and kindness provided to Correy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to Hamilton Alliance for Tiny Shelters (HATS) through www.hamiltontinyshelters.ca
