Barbara Kerr (nee Longstaff) Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Kerr (2005). Loving sister to Eleanor (the late Richard Lorfing) and brother-in-law Alfonso (Teresa) Trevisan. Sister-in-law to Eleanor Longstaff, Lois and Tom Smith. Special Aunt to Debbie Beatty, Dave and Rob Kerr, and to many other nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Stella (Klein) and Charles Longstaff and her siblings Ralph Longstaff, Paul (Linda) Longstaff, Arlene Trevisan, Frank Baird, and baby sister Mary Louise, and Lorne’s siblings Harold (Laura) Kerr, Gertie (Gordon) MacLean, Velma (Ross) Patterson, Ella (Clarence) Hood, John (Doris) Kerr, Marie (Roy) Coburn, Mary (John) Nicholson, Bill (Audrey) Kerr and Russell who died in infancy.
Visitation on Sunday, December 31, 2023, from 1-5 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St., N. Waterdown, where a Funeral Service will take place the following day, Monday, January 1, 2024 at 11 a.m., with friends invited to visit with the family from 10 – 11 a.m. and reception to follow immediately after service. A Livestream of the service is available below under “Events”. Cremation to take place with a private family burial at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
