Robert William Campbell of Walkerton passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2023, at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital, in his 65th year. Beloved father of Sara (Vanessa) of Guelph, Jeff, Justin (Jessica), both of Walkerton, Paul (Sausha) of Guelph, and Michael (Keelan) of Walkerton. Robert was grandpa to Lincoln, Alex, Scotlynn, Miles, Logan, and Charlie. He will be missed by his siblings Bonnie (Dave) Rehkopf, Keith Jr. (Margaret), John (Julie), all of Mildmay, Randy, Joan (Ed) of Walkerton, Terry (Debbie), both of Hanover, Dan of Walkerton, Mike (Sandra), Doug (Tracey), both of Mildmay, Jim of Walkerton, Cathy (Tim) Luinstra of Kincardine, sister-in-law to Caroline (Mark) Meyer, brother-in-law Jamie (Kathy) Anstett, both of Walkerton, and many nieces and nephews.
Rob worked at Canada Packers before it’s closure, drove truck for DAC, followed up by his 25-year employment at Al Reich’s Backhoeing and Haulage driving dump truck.
He was a hockey fan, NASCAR racing fan, and loved travelling – especially cruises with friends, family and his love, Joanne. He always had time for a good Styx concert or a visit to Sauble Beach. Rob frequented Tim Hortons in Walkerton and will be missed by his coffee friends.
Rob was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, and his grandkids were the light of his life. He now rests in peace with his love Joanne.
There are no public services for Robert at this time.
The family is grateful for the dedication and care provided by Dr. Bowman and the nurses at the Walkerton Hospital and the LHSC-University Hospital ICU.
