Foshay, Charles Duane Sheldon… of Belleville, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 after a sudden but courageous battle with cancer. Charles “Chuck” was born on February 28th, 1957 to parents Carole and Duane Foshay in Trenton, Ontario. In his youth he resided in Picton and Trenton, Ontario. After graduating from Trenton High School, he attended Loyalist College in radio broadcasting and spent several years working in SmithFalls for radio station CJET/Q101. He spent many years as an insurance agent with London Life, which he enjoyed and found very rewarding. When he moved back to the Belleville area he worked for CRS shipping until his illness.
In 1982, Chuck met Brenda Kilfoyle in Smithfalls. Chuck became the stepfather to two wonderful young boys Cliff and Jason. Brenda and Chuck hand many adventures together through the years raising the boys, wilderness camping and enjoying friends and family.
Chuck was predeceased by his father C.E. Duane Foshay, and his brother David Foshay. He is survived by his wife Brenda Kilfoyle, their children Cliff and Jason, his mother Carole Foshay, his brother Stephen Foshay (Roberta), his sister Shannon Foshay (Clint), sisters in law, brothers in law and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Chuck’s life will take place at the Weaver Life Centre, 29 Bay Street, Trenton on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 1-2 pm with a funeral ceremony at 2 pm. Interment at St. Georges Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Quinte would be greatly appreciated by the family.
