Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston, on Thursday, May 2, 2024. George Stamper 83, beloved husband of Ruth Stamper of 32 years. Loving father of David (Eve). George will be remembered by his stepchildren Rick (Karen), Jacquie (Jim) and Jodi (Anthony). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Matthew, Elizabeth, Ashley, Cody, Angelica, Daniela, Peter, Harper, Bohdi, Rae and Reese. Dear brother of Ron (Chris), the late John (Shirley), the late Gordon (Jean). George was a dedicated Youth Worker for 42 years. George will also be commemorated by the Lions Club for his 50 years of service. George actively participated in community policing. In addition, he was involved with Bluegrass for 50 years. Forever in the hearts of his extended family, and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of George’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 1:00pm- 4:00pm with speeches at 2:30 pm at Hillside Community Church 2314 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, ON.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of George may be made to the Tottenham Food Bank, 18 Queen Street North, Tottenham, ON., L0G 1W0 or to the charity of your choice. Online condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.
