It is with great sadness that we announce mom’s passing at Michael Garron Hospital on the morning of April 2nd, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born on December 21, 1927 in San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines. She remained in the Philippines until 1973, and at age 46, immigrated to Canada.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Albino Hipolito, and daughter, Hermie (Lorenzo). She is survived by her 5 children, Penny, Dolly (Bob), Felipe, Tess (Jean-Yves), Laura (Des), 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family extends a huge thank you to the medical staff of Michael Garron Hospital, Toronto, and to the staff of Fountain View Community for all their wonderful care for “Nanay” over the last 9 years.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
