My Mother, Norma Edith Wilson, sixty-eight, passed away peacefully in the critical care unit with family by her bedside on March 1st, 2024, at Etobicoke General Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Young (Gogo). She was loved and respected by those who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents, Edith and John Wark, her older half-sister, Darlene Tysick, and her younger sister, Kathy, in infancy; she is also survived by siblings Victor, Vernon, Gary, Keith, Susan, Judy, Rose, Danny. Her life was indeed difficult, and she has overcome so many battles throughout the years. Still, I like to think she finally flourished into the woman and mother I always knew she could be. She touched the hearts of the ICU staff and doctors, and I couldn’t be more proud of her strength in the months before her passing.
